To characterise air quality in the Taupo area, and to detect changes over time. Emission inventory to determine likely sources of air quality contamination in Taupo. |
| Rationale: |
Installation of an ambient air quality station at Taupo and associated collection and collation of air quality data PM10. Monitoring started in the Taupo industrial area Oct 1999 – April 2000. The monitoring station has since been moved to the Northeast of Taupo to better reflect ambient conditions. Assess contribution of home heating, vehicles and industry to fine particles in air in Taupo. |
