To characterise regional groundwater levels and water quality, and to detect changes over time. |
| Rationale: |
Groundwater quality and levels are being monitored at 36 and 46 sites respectively in the northern and western Lake Taupo catchment at 3 monthly intervals. Automatic level recorders have been established at five sites. |
