| Objective: |
To collate and review available information on nuisance plant growths in the shallow near shore zone. |
| Rationale: |
Review of existing information on shoreline nuisance plants in Lake Taupo, and their dependence on various types of nutrient enrichment. Completed October 2000.
Undertake a survey of filamentous algal proliferation’s at selected near shore sites around Lake Taupo. Completed June 2003. Further quantitative monitoring planned for summer 2003/04. |
