| Objective: |
To assess nutrient loads entering Lake Taupo |
| Rationale: |
Estimating the sources and quantities of nutrients (N, P) entering Lake Taupo using a computer model (GLEAMSHELL). Modelling nutrient transformations and transport processes taking into account variations in soils, topography, land use and climate. Daily computations in 10 ha cells were compared with measured values from several catchments. |
